Founder

Brian Eldard David

As an Elder who has served the church for many years, I saw the need to help vulnerable children and orphans in our community. In 2008, I began caring for five orphans from my village at my home on Lake Bunyonyi. Within a year, I was caring for about 40 children.

With support from the church, well-wishers, and Davis, who connected us with tourists visiting Bunyonyi, we were able to continue supporting these children. Today, many of the children we started with are grown, and I am proud of what we accomplished together.

Now, in my 80s, I hope to pass this legacy to Davis so he can continue caring for these children and take the work to an even greater level. Together, we can make a difference and remain strong.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Bunyonyi orphan children. Your kindness has changed lives.

Mary Ann Parent

Candian born, I live in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. I have over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry in various marketing and corporate roles, I have volunteered 15 years ago coordinating fundraising efforts for the Bunyonyi Orphans in Uganda. My journey began as a tourist traveling around Africa with an overland group. After gorilla trekking in Rwanda. We then traveled to Uganda's beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.  My life changed forever when I encountered David Brians, Davis Aturinda, and the incredible community of children and elders. It was then I realized I wanted to commit myself to this remarkable cause.

It was a happy day when David and Davis welcomed me to their team.
